Red Riding at Norwich Puppet Theatre

We had the pleasure of producing the Official Promo for a new production of Red Riding Hood at the Norwich Puppet Theatre.

We all know the story of Little Red Riding Hood, but which story do we know?

Norwich Puppet Theatre’s retelling of this classic folktale draws on the story’s origins in the oral tradition, together with versions by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. Following the path to her grandmother’s house, through a forest filled with howling wolves, Red Riding Hood, a charcoal-burner’s daughter, needs to use her wits in order to survive. The story follows our eponymous heroine into the woods and is filled with a rich mix of puppetry, music, song,inventive staging and witty dialogue.

Norwich Puppet Theatre is a great organisation and it was a pleasure to finally get the chance to work with them. They are one of only two theatres in England dedicated to puppetry and almost had to close in 2008 when Arts Council England withdrew funding, but since then they have come back stronger than ever. It was lovely to meet the great team at the theatre and in particular the new Director Joy Haynes, and after hearing her plans we're glad to say the future looks very bright for Norwich Puppet Theatre.

CMedia Meets... Ugly Duckling

This time we caught up with the veteran Hip Hop group Ugly Duckling when they performed at Norwich Arts Centre to find out who influenced them back in the day, production, and the new album 'Moving At Break Neck Speed'.

CMEDIA MEETS... JAMAL EDWARDS, CEO OF SBTV

This is the first episode in a new series by CMedia. 

As a production house we watch alot of interviews and say "I wish they would ask them how they did...?" 

So we created our own show where we catch up with various artists, performers, and creatives to ask "whats happening?" and also "how did you do that?" 

There are no presenters so you will see Luqman Heron (CMedia Creative Director), Sean Whyte (CMedia Managing Director), and Mikey Matala (CMedia Partnership Director) asking the questions.

You can look forward to seeing interviews with Ugly Duckling, Gracie Wright, and Janobi before Christmas and lots more after.

Behind CMedia: The Mallorca Shoot - Day 7

There was just enough time to hit the beach on the way to the Airport before flying back home! We took a Go-Pro camera with us to shoot some cool underwater shots of the students for the documentary.

Also it was time for Sean's cliff dive! Not the most elegant dive we've ever seen!...

All in all this has been a great trip for us. We've met some amazing people and had some fun while working really hard to shoot this documentary in just under a week. Look out for the finished film soon, and hopefully more of the same from CMedia.

BEHIND C>MEDIA: THE MALLORCA SHOOT - DAY 6

It's been non-stop filming since Day 1 so we haven't really had time to do much behind-the-scenes stuff. But at the end of Day 6 we wrapped up the shoot and decided to head into town for some fun. Luqman and our friend Abdalqadir decided to see the sights of Mallorca from above...!
